Jenn Freeman | From Boise to NYC
Jenn Freeman is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer, raised in Idaho, and currently
residing in New York City. In 2007 Jenn received a BFA in Dance from New York University's
Tisch School of the Arts. Since then she has been cast in works by choreographers
Mia Michaels, Sonya Tayeh, Kyle Abraham, Larry Keigwin, Travis Wall, Teddy Forance,
Misha Gabriel and many others. Jenn has appeared on the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards,
The Jimmy Fallon Show, and Comedy Central’s “The Comedy Awards”, and has worked on
performances for Florence and the Machine and Madonna.
Her own award winning choreography is performed by many companies and studios across
the country every year. She is currently a faculty member for REVIVE Dance Convention,
The Dance Sessions, and Broadway Dance Center. Jenn recently started the summer intensive,
Contemporary Now, an incredible comprehensive workshop for those who can't get enough
contemporary in their lives. Jenn Freeman is one of the most inspiring dance educators in the
nation. She communicates with clarity, imagery, depth, passion, and wisdom.
Jenn's company, Freemove Dance, debuted it's first evening-long work ...it's time..., on October
11th, 2019, in NYC, choreographed by Jenn, with original live drum score by Dani Markham.
