Kim Machado has developed her talent as a dancer and instructor through decades of dedicated dance education across the western United States. For more than 35 years, she has made taking class a priority—fueling her passion to continually learn, grow, and share her knowledge with others.
Her body of work began in her teens and includes serving as a member and Captain of the Meridian High School dance team, performing with the Boise State University Maneline Dancers, owning her own studio in La Grande, Oregon, founding and coaching the Summit Dance Team at Eastern Oregon University, teaching at Dance Dimensions in Boise, and co-founding Elevated Dance Project in Eagle with her dear friend Melissa Larson.
Kim’s choreography has earned numerous awards, and her experience includes serving on the faculty for Boise State University’s Summer DanceFest with Marla Hansen, presenting at an IDEO conference, choreographing for multiple high school musicals, and working as guest faculty for numerous studio and high school dance intensives. Yet, nothing has been more meaningful to her than helping dancers discover their voice and strength as both artists and human beings.
Kim is married to Steve and treasures her roles as mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother!
