As so many of us have, Dana grew up dancing. A studio has always been her second home. When she was young, Dana had classical training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theater. In college, she co-coached her cheer/dance team. Dana has guest choreographed for studios, performance teams, team audtions, and events, and has been a part of competitions and professional performances all over the west coast. One of her favorite places to perform was during halftime shows for the Golden State Warriors.
Mid-college age, Dana stepped into the world of breaking, popping and all that is now referred to as “street style” which have been her main forms of dance ever since. Dana is more focused on having style, rather than labeling or boxing herself into one style. Focus in her classes are on musicality, rhythms, texture, flow, FUN, strength, safety, self expression and groove.
People join dance class for different reasons, and Dana aims to help all enjoy their journey along the way. You will often find her teaching alongside her husband and daughter, who both have loads of skills and encouragement to share. She looks forward to dancing with you!
